It primarily serves as a safety valve. Since the pressure output by the hydraulic pump varies with the load, when an abnormal condition (such as overload) occurs in the system, causing the pressure to exceed the design pressure and putting the system in danger, the valve opens to initiate overflow, providing overload protection to the system. Currently, it is unknown whether the overflow valve in this hydraulic system also functions as a pressure stabilizing and regulating component. It allows the system pressure to stabilize at the pressure set by the overflow valve, as the overflow pressure of the valve can be adjusted. It serves as a safety valve; without it, it would be akin to not having a fuse in your home's electrical circuit. It plays a role in pressure stabilization; without it, it would be like not having a voltage regulator in your refrigerator. The overflow valve is a control component.
